This was supposed to be one of the hi-lights of the trip, the Gulf Coast Salute Airshow at Tyndall AFB, Florida. The weather still had other ideas, Tornado Warnings, Hail and tropical storms put the start of the show back until 1pm, whilst we drove past the base we saw 4 F-16s' parked on one of the ramps, Alaskan Aggressors! We all so desperately prayed that the weather would clear up a bit to persuade the event organisers to let us in... we had a few hours to kill before one so we headed out to see some more hueys, this time at Panama City MAP and Costal Helicopters at Bayou George.

The weather cleared enough for the show organisers to allow us on base and a very limited flying display. but quantity isn't everything and quality made up for it, F-15s, F-22s, QF-4s and of course those Alaskan beauties!
